YINFINITY
a sensory yin experience
long holds · fully propped · crowned
yin has one secret: staying. press and hold the moon:
press… and stay
no tapping here. the magic only happens if you remain.
what it is
yin yoga, crowned in silent disco headphones. shapes held long and low — minutes, not breaths — mostly on the floor, mostly still. yin works below the muscle: fascia, joints, the slow tissues that only open for time. the music arrives on one channel, your volume is your own, and the room itself stays soft and quiet. stillness, with a soundtrack only you can hear.
the nest
this is a propped practice — bolsters, blankets, blocks, the works. we build each shape like a nest so your body is fully held and gravity does the practice for you. nothing to achieve, nothing to push toward. arrive, get heavy, be held.
trauma-informed magic
everything here is an invitation, never an instruction. every shape has options, eyes can stay open, props can move, and the headphones come off any time you want — no explanation needed. long stillness can be tender territory; we hold it with care so you can explore it with curiosity. that's where the magic part lives.
why slow works
in nervous-system terms, yin is a long exhale for the whole body: parasympathetic, down-shifting, the opposite current to a sweaty class. time is the technique — what won't release in ten seconds often melts at three minutes. yin doesn't stretch you; it outwaits you.
pairs beautifully with the voyage
some nights, a story sails through the stillness — yinfinity and The Voyage woven together, long shapes with guided imagination inside them. other nights each stands alone. both complete; together, something else entirely.
