somatic touch, consent & communication

how to ask. how to listen. how to put your hands on another person in a way that gives them their body back, not takes it.

this is the first weekend of our 200-hour training, and the one people keep asking to get into on its own. so we opened it. you do not need to be a yoga teacher. you do not need to want to be one. if you touch people in your work, or you want to understand your own nervous system from the inside, there is a seat here for you.

15 instructional hours fri eve · sat · sun 698 main st, moncton no experience required

this one is not just for teachers

most of our training weekends are built for people on the path to teaching. this one keeps drawing in everybody else, so we stopped treating that as an accident.

🧘 yoga teachers

you already adjust. this is the weekend that makes it consensual, precise, and repeatable.

💆 bodyworkers & therapists

massage, physio, reiki, counselling. the consent and nervous-system framework travels straight into your practice.

🫂 carers & helpers

nurses, parents, partners, support workers. anyone whose hands are part of the job.

the merely curious

you want to understand your own boundaries and why your body does what it does. that is a whole reason.

come alone or bring someone. you will practise with other humans, always with a choice about how, how much, and whether at all.

the tealight

in our rooms, consent does not require a conversation in the middle of your practice. a small light sits at the top of your mat. lit means you are open to touch. out means no touch, no explaining, no reason needed. it can change any time, including mid-class.

lit. open to touch today.

tap it. that is the whole system, and it is the beginning of a much longer conversation.

what we cover

eleven sessions across the weekend, woven together rather than stacked. theory in the morning, hands and voices in the afternoon.

what you'll carry out

  • a nonverbal consent system you can set up in any room, in five minutes, for free.
  • the basics of polyvagal theory, and how nervous system states shape behaviour and healing.
  • real tools for regulation, co-regulation, and finding ventral vagal safety, in yourself first.
  • hands-on somatic touch and cranial somatics, practised with feedback, at whatever depth you choose.
  • invitational language: how to cue so people keep their agency instead of handing it to you.
  • an understanding of how trauma shapes boundary-setting, and why consent is an ongoing conversation.
  • nonviolent communication (NVC) for teaching, for conflict, and for talking to yourself.
  • the printed handouts: the NVC feelings and needs map, the somatic touch theory guide, and the full somatic sequence.

the shape of the weekend

fifteen instructional hours, with real breaks and lunch woven in. nothing is filler.

friday

1.5 hrs · 7:30 to 9:00pm

the checkpoint. arriving, community agreements, and the first conversation about what safety actually means in a room.

saturday

7 hrs · the full day

morning practice, then the nervous system: polyvagal theory, vagal activation, co-regulation. hands-on begins in the afternoon.

sunday

6.5 hrs · integration

somatic touch and the full sequence, invitational language, NVC, and practice on real humans with real feedback.

our studio runs at a therapeutic 31.5°C with FAR infrared. this weekend is mostly seated, slow, and hands-on, so it is a gentle heat, not a hot class. rest is always allowed, and stepping out is never a problem.

you leave with these

printed and yours to keep, plus the digital copies.

who you'll learn with

Andie Moore, founder and lead educator

Andie Moore

the 200hr adds a one-time $200 application fee, separate from tuition and specific to the full program. custom plans and financial assistance are both available, just email andie.

seats are limited by the size of the room and by how much hands-on feedback one teacher can actually give. when it is full, it is full. no countdown clocks here.

an honest word

this weekend goes near real things. we talk about trauma, boundaries, and what happens in a body when consent has been missing. you will be invited to give and receive touch with other people in the room.

every single piece of that is optional. you can observe, you can partner only with someone you came with, you can keep your light out the whole weekend and still get everything the material has to offer. nobody will ask you why, and nobody will make it a thing.

if you are in the acute part of something hard right now, this might be a weekend for later rather than this september. that is not a door closing. email andie and we will talk about it honestly, both ways.

the questions underneath

✦ sep 25 to 27, 2026

come learn how to ask.

it is one weekend. it changes how you touch people, and how you let yourself be touched, for a lot longer than that.
